10. Be willing to try harder than anyone else.

We’re talking through all these ways to be happier, take your life to the next level and overall just be more awesome.  Let’s go!

-Follow-up on everything you do.
Even if it’s not the outcome you wanted

-Be where your feet are
You’re there, even if you didn’t want to be.
Be present
Because how you do anything is how you do everything

-Do the unexpected
Be creative
Surprise people
The unexpected is what’s memorable.

-Don’t look out the back window.
That is old news.  You can’t change it.  Good or bad- check the box and move on. Focus on the road ahead.  Time spent otherwise is wasted.

-Face what’s off in your life and approach it head on.
We tend to do things that make us happy, while avoiding the things we need to fix.  When you know something is off in your life, or maybe totally broken… FIX IT. Confront it head on and work to correct it. Often we avoid and it gets worse.

-Give yourself space to have new ideas and write them in your ideas book.
Most will be bad or ones that you won’t do anything with - but it just takes one good one.
Must write them down.

-Have less structure in your life where possible.
You likely have more freedom and flexibility than you think.  Get out and do things outside of your normal set schedule. Embrace spontaneity and be open-minded.

-Remember tomorrow.
When you have a split second decision to make, think of how that decision will make you feel tomorrow.
Skipping a workout, being unfaithful in your relationship, lying to someone, drinking too much.

-Allow pointless stress to roll off your back like water off a ducks back.

-Make things exciting and have enthusiasm.
Instead of saying “I have to”… say “I get to”… when you think of things in this way they feel more like part of the process and less like chores.

-Be willing to try harder than anyone else.
If you do the same thing as everyone else, you will get the same results as everyone else.
Will Smith says “
The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there's two things: You're getting off first, or I'm going to die. It's really that simple, right?
You're not going to out-work me. It's such a simple, basic concept. The guy who is willing to hustle the most is going to be the guy that just gets that loose ball. The majority of people who aren't getting the places they want or aren't achieving the things that they want in this business is strictly based on hustle. It's strictly based on being out-worked; it's strictly based on missing crucial opportunities. I say all the time if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready.

CHEERS to striving to be more awesome everyday!
